Baosteel lifts steel prices for Jan., 2011

Reportedly, China’s Baosteel has announced to lifts its steel prices for January, 2011. The prices of hot rolled coils, including low carbon, ultra-low carbon, and normal cold-formed usage steel have increased by RMB260/ton; others have been up by RMB100/ton. For the pickling material, the prices have soared by RMB200/ton averagely. Meanwhile, the prices of cold rolled steel have increased by RMB200~RMB300/ton; that of hot-dip galvanized steel has increased by RMB200~RMB300/ton; that of pre-painted steel has hiked by RMB150~RMB250/ton; that of non-oriental silicon steel has raised by RMB150/ton; that of heavy thickness steel plate has soared by RMB150/ton. The above prices will become effective immediately after the announcement.
